The Place

History
This ancient 17th century rural complex was once a house, a mill and an olive mill at the same time, and it was therefore, one of the most important agricultural centers in the whole area.
Due to its privileged position in the valley and the quality of its architecture, the complex was soon identified with the name of its location: I Santinelli.
Thanks to a careful restoration – made to preserve and valorize all the buildings and the large green private areas over 5000 sq m – the complex has now become an elegant and exclusive guesthouse, where guests can spend an unforgettable holiday in a unique and extremely beautiful setting.

Conviviality | Confidentiality | Good Kitchen
Convivial areas, ideal if you look for entertainment and sharing beautiful moments with others, but also quiet and calm corners where you can relax, read a book, or enjoy a glass of good wine: a perfect balance that definitely match I Santinelli.
Immersed in nature, the property’s park offers you pergolas, leafy trees, aromatic plants and wonderful views on Lucca countryside. In hot summer days, the large pool surrounded by umbrellas and comfortable sun loungers is the ideal place to cool down, thanks to its constant temperature water.
And in the evenings, when sun sets down behind the hills, the atmosphere becomes so romantic, ideal for dining outdoors under the wisteria kiosk.
Our guests can also enjoy refined and cozy indoors. Each room and hall have been designed and furnished to give our guests a feeling of familiarity and intimacy.
Our living rooms characterize with comfortable seating, relaxing colors, an extreme care for any detail; soft sofas seem to “embrace” large stone fireplaces and TV areas.
The silent library ideally connects the estate central courtyard to the Villa’s area; In the great kitchen, you can taste all day long local cooked meats and cheese or have a quick snack.
At least twice a week, we organize a dinner, but just ask our staff and we will prepare for you a delicious menu any other day.
Tuscan and Mediterranean cuisine absolutely reign over Santinelli’s kitchen: simple and healthy recipes, prepared using only fresh and top quality products. Even the most simple tomato sauce pasta can be a heap of flavors and organoleptic sensations.

Contemporary art
Every year our Bed & Breakfast chooses to host in its structure the works of a local artist. All the rooms, suites and common areas become some sort of contemporary art gallery that gives painters or sculptors the opportunity to exhibit their work and, at the same time, allows our guests to add an aesthetic and inspirational benefit to their holidays

Diego Scarpellini sculptor. Tuscan artist, born in Lucca, he began by painting and exploring different techniques and concepts. Since 2014 he has been practicing recycledart with great passion. “To this day I look around and realize that there are all kinds of things destined for abandonment that deserve a second chance; my task, as an artist, is to recover their form and material, to make them interact harmoniously, in a structure with a purely aesthetic purpose”.

Giuseppe Quartieri painter. His works are a mixture of sensations, light, colors, shapes and materials from which the visceral passion and strength of gestures shines through. At the same time, his emotional canvases are pleasant together, elegant and harmonious.
